As you can imagine, Take Flight for Kids is an incredibly expensive event.  But we are changing lives of kids, so it's worth every penny.  If you can help, please donate online.  $10 sponsors a familiy for free lunch.  Every dollar helps!  Thanks!

Note: All donations are 100% tax deductible thru the Valley Medical Center Foundation

About Us
Next event: San Jose Reid Hillview Airport, San Jose, California
Saturday, August 9, 2008
9am to 5:30pm
A day in the sky for Young People with special needs.

We are a group of volunteers who take kids with disabilities, special needs, and critical illnesses flying in private aircraft. Our goal is to show the kids that the sky is literally the limit to reaching out and overriding their perceived limitations.

Simultaneously, we host a large "assistive technology and accessible activities festival" at the airport.  We network dozens of nonprofits with hundreds of parents of special needs parents to build community support for the event.

Saturday August 9, 2008 will be a very special day at the San Jose Reid Hillview Airport, San Jose California as Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Foundation of Santa Clara County, and San Jose Experimental Aircraft Assocation chapter 62  is organizing free airplane rides to challenged children and their guests from all over Northern California.  Kids up to 18 years old with special challenges or disabilities were welcome.

Invited partner nonprofit organizations include: Santa Clara County Valley Medical Center (VMC), and many more.
